Know-Now ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: to provide our services to you
  • Legitimate interests: to improve our platform, prevent fraud, and communicate relevant updates
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Consent: for marketing communications and non-essential cookies — you may withdraw consent at any time

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 2 years. Enquiry and demo-request data is retained for 24 months from your last contact with us. Your cookie consent record is retained for 6 months, after which we ask again. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Service providers: cloud hosting (AWS / Azure), analytics, and email delivery (Azure Communication Services, which delivers our contact and demo-request emails) — under data processing agreements
  • Professional advisors: lawyers, auditors — under confidentiality obligations
  • Authorities: when required by law or court order

All third-party processors are GDPR-compliant and bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

7. International Transfers

If we transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — for example, Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Cookies

We set no non-essential cookies until you allow them. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject everything non-essential, or choose per category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

  • Strictly necessary: kn_consent stores your cookie choice (6 months); NEXT_LOCALE remembers your chosen language (12 months). These are required for the site to work as you asked and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics: help us understand which pages are read and where visitors struggle. Set only with your consent.
  • Marketing: used to measure campaigns and show relevant content on other platforms. Set only with your consent.
